Kicks On Court Mid-Season RecapThe midpoint of the 2008-09 NBA season is finally here, and, throughout the first half, our Kicks On Court has kept you up-to-date with your favorite players PEs this season. With that said, it is time to take a look back at the best kicks you have seen on the hardwood so far. Our Nice Kicks staff took the time to run through the Kicks On Court comment archives and compile a post filled with the best PEs in YOUR opinion this year.

2008 brought back some of our most coveted retro sneakers seeing that the Countdown Packs made their much-needed appearance. In addtion, some of our favorite non-Jordan retros returned as well such as the Nike Air Penny 2. Most of the players in this section grew up watching the player’s shoes that they are wearing. So it comes to no surprise that they wanted to follow in their role model’s footsteps…literally.

    My top 3 from this list:

    Fred Jones’ AJ XI’s: The 2nd best Jordan ever in the best colorway ever. Nuff said.

    Kevin Durant’s KD1′s: Comfortable and nice looking. The home colorway is the most fresh tho.

    D.J. Augustin’s AJ 6 Rings PE: One of the only colorways that make this shoe look really good. REALLY, really good, to be exact.

    Jigga’s style is ill, too. Who’s that girl sitting next to him? She’s almost as hot as the Jordan XI’s.

    Great posting. Them shoes Rando has on are sick. There were some very nice pairs especially the PE’s but Rando’s were unique, nice colorway and one of a kind.
