Kicks On Court: Are Fusions Created for Court?

Kicks On Court: Are Fusions Created for Court?Ricky Davis is answering the question for himself by wagging his finger from left to right like Dikembe Mutombo. Throughout our Kicks On Court, we have seen many shoes in a plethora of styles and colorways; however, over the weekend, we spotted Los Angeles Clippers guard Ricky Davis sporting a shoe we never thought would make it to the hardwood!

On Saturday, against the Atlanta Hawks, Ricky Davis laced up a colorway of the Air Jordan Fusion 5. Similar to the Air Jordan 5 Black/University Blue-Silver, it featured a predominately black upper with a blue outsole. The Fusion series has already been labeled a love/hate sneaker, but seeing this raises more questions: Should Fusions be worn on the court? Are they safe or are you asking for broken ankles? We all know Rasheed Wallace hoops in the Nike Air Force 1 High and rightfully so seeing that they encompass Air Max in them, but Fusions on the court may be pushing it. What are your thoughts?
