A new chapter in the Air Jordan legacy begins this weekend with the release of the Air Jordan 2009.Â Continuing with the history of excellence in performance and stylistic design, Senior Footwear Designer Jason Mayden was called upon to create the flagship model for the brand.

The Air Jordan 2009 made its debut in limited fashion to the tune of 2009 pairs two weeks ago, but this weekend will see the first general release.Â The Air Jordan 2009 will drop Saturday, February 14th for $190.

Bring back retro’s!!!! There are still orginal colors that have not been relesed that the true sneraker collector wants! I’m not going to pay $190 for that, but I would pay for a pair of Blk/Red 6′s, 9′s, or 12′s . Or the Olympic 6′s blu and white.(Oh Hell Yea!!!) If anyone from Jordan is listening, give us what we want classic design (close to orginal as possible), and at an affordable price! That’s all we ask for. I see you and your Jordan 2008 on the clearence rack real soon.

Very ordinary looking and plain, including the color. What happened to the old days, when the j’s were cool. 3,4,5,6,7,11,13. The last 10 or 11 j’s look ugly to me. I don’t get it. Don’t they read people’s (customer’s) opinions on the styles that come out. Just cause they put their name on something, doesn’t mean people will like it. I’m sure the technology is there, but what good is it if they are ugly. It’s OK to advance in technology, but give the shoe some style, instead of being boring.

you know its funny to me where i live out of all the jordan that came out today the only ones that sold out are the 6 rings and everybody hates on 6 rings but they are the only ones that are sold out the black max orange ones sold preety well but are still on shelves the two lows sold preety well the pewters didnt do so good but the guy at mr.alans told me they didnt sell one 2k9 lol thats sad

Ha- haters; this shoe is sick. Hella comfortable and definitely blends nicely w/ all the rest of the J’s. These feel way better than the 11/12′s from the CDP and the Spizikes. 22′s and 24′s are pretty comfortable, but the material seems to be made of high quality (compared to the cheaper stuff in the CDP’s).

back in the day people slept on the 11 in 95-96 so go buy this shoe is great. I was able to get four size 12 air jordan 11 back then for $50 each because people slept.

OMG!!! If you don’t like them, more power, but I have been wearing them all day for the last two days and they are absolutely beauriful. Quality-check, comfort-check, and the pictures of this shoe just do not do it proper justice, looks-check, a fantastic shoe. You have to see how the shoe is shaped, it’s amazing. DO NOT SLEEP!!!

Man, I would have paid the $230.00 for those black and gold ones, too bad they’re limited…! These look to plain for me for $190.00.

Honestly, they’re not too bad. I got mine on Saturday at FootLocker in Austin, TX and the guy told me he had barely sold like 3, with mine either being the 3rd pair or the soon-to-be 4th. Last I checked they were like in a full size run on Saturday morning on Footlocker, Finishline, Champs, and Footaction websites. I know the design isn’t the most appealing, but that price tag is a little ridiculous. Still, I don’t think we’ll see them drop to like $100-$120, though. They planned for this one wrong, I think. JB has got to listen to the fans next time. Release kicks we want. Release colorways we want. The 2K9s don’t even have a good cushioning in the rear. The XX3s and XIX had superior cushioning compared to this one. But still, a nice shoe, but I usually tend to fall in love with the least favorite of the Js…
