Sneaker Geeks: 12 of the Best Cartoon Inspired Sneakers

Puma paid tribute to Bodé by celebrating the 50th birthday of the Cheech Wizard. The shoe takes inspiration from Cheech Wizard’s infamous hat by using the yellow and red colors and stars. Puma also gets points for using one of their classic sneakers for the tribute, the Puma  Clyde.

    “Homer” was a nickname sneaker dorks like myself gave the shoe – no clear inspiration or theme. If one were to look at the insole you’ll know where we were coming from on this. Leader photo made you think they would be on there though didn’t it :-P

    Like the kicks but dont agree with the order. the spy vs spy Pumas should be up there instead of the spy vs spy NB in my opinion.

    ^prophesy – i agree with you 100%, the spy vs. spy pumas should have been on the list instead of the new balance kicks.

    We def did not forget about the Simpsons x Vans, trust me. Since that collection coincided with the release of the Simpsons Movie, they got their proper due in the Sneaker Geeks Movie list.

    I LIKE MOST OF THESE….N IDK WHRE DA HELL I BEEN, BUT I HAVNT SEEN SOME OF THESE, LIKE THE CHARLIE BROWNS OR DA TWEETY BIRDS, BUT THEY MOST OF EM R HARD…I LKE DAT COLORWAY ON DA BATMAN DUNKS, IM JUS NOT THAT MUCH OF A FAN OF THE MIDs.

    Homer SBs could TECHNICALLY be called SOMEWHAT “Homer” inspired; however, not by the Homer we’re thinking about. On the insole, there is a picture of a Cyclops, which was a big topic in Greek mythology which was significantly documented by the poet HOMER… but I could be wrong, considering I just read all of that off of Solepedia. LOL, definitely not too reliable.

    I don’t agree with much of this list. If these were some of the ‘best’ cartoon inspired sneakers, compared to what I have seen released before, this list isn’t saying much. Most of these releases are mediocre at best, IMO.

    As for the “Spy v. Spy”, I like them both releases either way, but gotta give the edge to Puma. They had hidden stash pockets! *lol* :P

    the charlie browns look more like homer with the black zig zag for the hair and the blue denim for his pants. white misdose for his shirt and the yellow rear pannel for skin color

    Those ninja turtles are dope though they would have been better as lows or highs, im feeling those charlie browns but again i would love them as low’s or high, maybe because i hate the strap on the mid’s. the Venom, spiderman and batman’s could have been 100 times better, theres so many things that could have been done to them, i was in japan a couple of years ago and I ran across the spider man dunk low’s and they were amazing they had the webbing and everything, i would love to see some venoms with webbing and othr details from his costume. i customize sneakers so when i see potentially great sneakers done half-assed it makes me wonder why, because i know nike and all the other companies have the resources… me i have to work with what i can find… i think the spy vs. spy idea is a winner and hose tweeties are a bit weird for that type of shoe but that’s just my opinion.

    i totally agree with number 1, the venom colorway is nasty it kinda looks CRAP>< they shouldnt even call them the venom shoes….lol…..

    The Marge Simpsons are too conservative…Nike was afraid to push it with the green…yellow body (body) green dress (main accent) blue hair (secondary accent)…but Nike is usually afraid to push the envelope unless theyre 100% about it makin profit.
