For the fall of 2009 Vans will be paying tribute to artist Rick Griffin. Griffin passed away in 1991, but his legacy lives on through his artwork. He pioneered the psychedelic art genre in the 60′s that became synonymous with rock bands like the Grateful Dead.

The Rick Griffin x Vans Vault 2009 collection features Griffin’s artwork on a number of classic Vans silhouettes. From the Slip-on, No Skool and Old Skool, to the Sk8 Hi, there is something for every style from mild to wild in the pack. There is even a shirt that will be released as well.

the slip ons are sick! the rest are ok but it really sucks that van is so vain that they block out a good chuck of the guys art with a huge vans strip. can u just let the mans work shine.

Honestly, I can’t say I like Vans. However, all of these are fire, except the slip-ons but i just dont like that model period.

i dont really like vans or any of these but the insides of the sk8 his are sick. and comment 2 makes no sense all the shoes are tiehr black and white or red white and blue i dont see how you can get much simpler
