Nike Air Force 1 “2009 Black History Month”

Nike Air Force 1 2009 Black History MonthToday, January 20th, 2009, black history was made by this being the official date of President Barack Obama’s inauguration. Therefore, it was only fitting that, today, we received an exclusive never-before-seen photo of the Nike Air Force 1 “2009 Black History Month”.

Paying tribute to Black History Month, this special Air Force 1 contains a predominately black leather upper with red contrast stitching throughout the sneaker. It also contains a red inner lining and green on the top of the tongue. Other features include laser printing, a clear outsole and a black midsole with green stitching. To add to the theme, this sneaker will be packaged in a black bag with an motivational quote printed below the 100 Year logo.

If you really like these, do not fall in love too much. This sneaker will not be released to the public, therefore, it will only be given to a select few of individuals who are active in the community and pushing the support of the Black History. Via SneakerNews/SlamxHype. Congratulations to President Barack Obama.

Yeah, congrats Barack! Now lets rid the world of racism and financial unequality (especially the biased credit system).
As for the AF-1 and Last years AF-1 “black history month” are “Tokens”, if only released for a few select, when all Black Americans, especially US Fathers who take the responsibility of raising our Seeds and being instrumental in the community, keeping in mind that for todays Black Man its about Attraction versus Promotion. Hint! ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

In other words, Professor C. should be on the list of recipients!

I’d really rather see THESE kicks on sale, than those hideous Obama bootlegs that were posted on blogs the other day.

Sidebar: why didn’t Nike use the red stitching to complement the green stitching on the midsole (like on these shoes) for the A Tribe Called Quest AJ1s? That’d make those shoes so much better.

  • swanson

Nice kicks, but whats the point of coming out with a Black History shoe when its not widely available to Blacks or anyone else who likes the shoe? They can atleast do a Lance Armstrong type thing and have all profits go to select African American charities…

    Sometimes Nike really puzzles me…
