After hooping in the Nike Air Blue Chip PE for most of the first half of the 2008-09 NBA season, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant finally laced up his first signature sneaker, the Nike KD1. Our Kicks On Court spotted Oklahoma City’s superstar sporting two different colorways of this sneaker in back-to-back games against the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls.

Coinciding with the jersey colors, the ‘Home’ colorway features a white leather upper with an orange swoosh on the outside of the shoe and a white swoosh on the inside. The inner side of the sneaker is completely covered in Oklahoma City Thunder orange. On the contrary, the ‘Away’ sneaker features a black upper with an orange swoosh on the outside and an aqua blue swoosh on the other side. Both sneakers feature Durant’s initials, in yellow, on the ankle area. Nevertheless, we can categorize this as one of the few Oklahoma City Thunder wins of this season. Look for the Nike KD1 to hit retailers in February 2009.

    i know im going to get my head taken off for this but those D-Wades are respectable. not sure if Id sport off the court but its a nice contrast.

    the KD blacks are nice. once again no sport off the court. the white ones are two reminiscent of the air force scarface and the halloweens…didnt nike learn then?

    and im guessing Lebron hasnt let that Wash Wizard grudge go….is he going after Arenas in being like “hey besides advance further in the playoffs than your team, i can also come out with a colorway for every game of the year, when you couldnt.” im just goodness! but im feeling the 6s.

    john doe – LeBron is actually more close to 6’10″ than he is 6’8″ and he is definitely 270, as FLYMIKE posted as well.

    During the Summer Olympics, it was said LeBron is about 6’9.5″ and 275.
    He’s taller than Karl Malone is, although they say they’re the same ht. and wt.

    why would anyone want the KD1s??? im sorry but when youre playin ball (which his shoes are meant for) im not gona go buy the cheap stuff. why would anybody? i remember savin up every year for my kicks. lol and it wasnt long ago. i played ball in HS in the huarache 2k4 and 2k5s. both top dollar and i knew that with those shoes came quality. QUALITY. it doesnt come in every shoe. not even half. those shoes are cheap and wack. especially with huarche 08 hyperdunk power max etc even adidas has good stuff out right now.
