  1. Anyone who says first should be banned. They obviously didn’t hear the Kicksbys where the leader who started this site hates anyone who does that. As for the kicks…… well they alright but I won’t get them. Not my style.

  2. copped… and will stay in their box till tom hanks makes another forest gump. you gotta have at least one pair in your collection.

  3. I like the history. The shoe – not so much. Although it’s a clean and simple colorway. Wearing it doesn’t show that you’re a sneakerhead, however. ;) But it’s cool that Nike take things back.

  4. those cortez’s are classics, NOT infamous. you throw that word around on here way too much. infamous, in its most simplistic definition is something that is well known for being bad, and these cortezes are hardly considered bad by me or, i would guess, anyone else.

  5. Dear Nike:

thank you for the cortez. It is a classic shoe taht we all loved before.

But please, dont infuse it with the flywire. Trust us. It’s ugly.

    Thanks.

    John

  6. I totally frigging had these in the 9th grade and everyone called them the “Gumps”

    Bringing it back = SICKNESS.

  7. They are definitely classics, but maybe the word “infamous” was used because of its popularity with gangmembers.

But they are infmaous or classics, which ever, they are still sick and a definite buy^2.

  8. THESE WILL BE FUSED WITH AIR FORCE 1S NEXT. I LOVE NIKE CORTEZ; I HAD MY FIRST PAIR IN 2ND GRADE=BLACK/WHITE IN 1990 AND MY 2ND AIR IN 2007 THE NAVY/WHITE PAIR. THESE ARE TOO PLAIN FOR ME BUT I FEEL WHOEVER BUYS THEM.

  9. normally dont like the cortez but i do like these, nice and simple.

would look good with a bright colored sweatsuit and matching headband

  10. those joints are classic, i think it would be cool if they laser etched forrest on them while on the bench.dont ball in cortez cause you’ll break your own ankles, great for jogging are walking in well calculated lines..lol trust me

  11. yea i know a mexican that has a collection…but me wearing these are like chuck hayes on team jordan..

    NEVER GONNA HAPPEN

  12. The shoebox should be made to look like a giant box of chocolates that would be official. As for me, I’m from South Central LA and the Nike Cortez has a strong connotation with gangbanging, so I’m going to have to pass. Nevertheless, the color way is classic and the film is timeless.

  13. I remember this shoe from Farrah Fawcett’s famous skatebord scene in Charlie’s Angels, in 1976. They are the coolest shoe!

  14. I wish they would release it in Nylon. Nicekicks you got any word on that? Also you can order/get a pair at Nike Sportswear.
