Air Jordan PHLY Legends Black Cement

Air Jordan PHLY Black CementThe latest lifestyle release from Jordan Brand is the 1950′s styled Air Jordan PHLY Legends.

The PHLY gets its name from MJ’s high school coach, Clifton “Pop” Herring, PH. The colorway obviously was inspired by the black, varsity red and cement Air Jordan 3. The wings logo embossed into the leather on the ankle adds a nice touch to add a classic feel. On the back of the ankle it reads MCMLXXVIII which in roman numerals would be 1978, the year Jordan first met Pop Herring.

These vintage style kicks originally dropped in limited numbers at UBIQ, but now are available at LTD, and should be available at other Jordan accounts anytime, or on eBay for about $80.

Detailed shots after the jump.

  • g1phone

These are ok. They look a little like blazers. i dont know if you guys know but jordan brand does try to sell shoes to other then collectors, skateboarders and athletes. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER DEMOGRAPHICS Maybe older dudes looking for something to kick it in. And oh btw he did hoop in these practice session vs bobcats

  • jayhawk fan 23

i could wear these with shorts in the summertime

  • cee mackk

these are some fake nike blazers. thats it. i would rather spend my money on blazers then drop $80 on these.

  • Bugz

these are a sin against humanity

  • Bugz

    nazi

  • d2j

these are some of the ugliest jordan kicks i have seen in a long time… besides the last time they came out with them… i agree with #2 these need to be subbed out! they are like the fat kid on a modified basketball team they only made the team because there are no roster cuts so everybody makes the squad! retire this shoe please! id rather wear a Trunner…

  • Big D

This is gettin RICOCKULOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Enuf already!

  • yung albino

please stop with these and the colorway ive seen enough cement and phly’s to last a life time

  • Heat Tha 916er

Not a must cop but I like em for everyday use. Most you catz don’t wear ya retros anyway you keep em in the closet. So you should be glad they make other models you can wear everyday. Ohh I forgot, you can’t afford to spend money on non retros cause you spent it all on the ones you don’t wear.

  • b.really

^^speak 4 yaself holmes i keep hott sht on feet- the real always purchase in pairs dont get it twisted. dont even waste time on bullsht JB sht like this..these sell 2 catz like u gettn em 4 everyday use- u encourage the creation of bs phunkd up sht like this!

  • MJSF

  • http://baker.edu DETROIT FRESH

sometimes i get the feeling that some people just take jordan’s a little to seriously. i backed off of jordan as a young’n when i saw friends gettin shot for these and MJ himself nor nike had much of anything to say about it. who cares tho right?………
shoes are ok tho, some one with style could pull these off. easy to look fly in a pair sneaks everyone thinks is fly anyway, the test is in turning heads in a pair of sneakers that wouldn’t have gotten half as much attention off your feet. I AM DETROIT FRESH AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE. LOL

  • Third Coast Baller

#23 That’s what I am talking about. You came correct!

  • shoebacca

word up # 23 .. these dudes just cant pull them off they selves so they talk trash .. that color way is tough plus i like the way its got that skate feel not all skaters tryna rock DCs and Etnies props to JB

  • Iamnolongerjasonbourne

    to #23,

yeah, agree with that. getting shot for shoes? that’s just crazy. with the money that JB is making, i never hear them do any charity, or help unfortunate kids…! he has been critized before on the shoe making, he’s such a big icon figure that he should do more than just make shoes…! i hate Jordan and the shoes sometime…

  • http://nicekicks greglevine

I love your shoes but some displayed needs to be not shown!
but other wise I love your shoes1

  • Mike

Everyones hatin on this kick but seriously… Get your kick game up… Some of yall saying… Leave it to the AJIII cause these are whack but on the real… Just cause yall got the retro doesn’t mean sh*t.

  • http://nicekicks.com dodobrown

PHLY:Phunny,Horrible,Lazy,Y would u do dat 2 ur self man ur already made a horrible shoe wit dem retri 17s oops my bad another story

  • AJ

Props to #23. I personally wouldn’t rock these but i think with the right outfit, it can be done. sometimes you just gotta like the shoe for the shoe, not how you can personally wear it.

  • eiti

I personally wouldnt wear these but i agree wit #6 and #23. Ma man really lovin these kicks and he isnt a jordan fanatic but he does have a way of taking shoes others would criticize and making them his own. He got da hood giving these a second look. We arent collectors ourselves but we like what we like and cop’em and dont care about someones opinion. Plus these were a hit for christmas gifts over the 2.5′s but not the fusion 20′s.
