Adidas Forum Mid NBA 5 Great Moments – Houston Rockets

With one look at these, we should all reminisce on how Hakeem ‘The Dream’ Olajuwon used to dream-shake each and every opponent. Although Olajuwon was, and still is, the face of the franchise, this Adidas Forum Mid takes inspiration from a Houston Rockets moment way before The Dream was in his prime.

As part of the NBA 5 Great Moments theme, Adidas drops this Forum Mid in the OG Houston Rockets colorway. It features a brown suede upper with red and yellow accents on the Adidas stripes, tongue, and shoelaces. The words, ‘Houston upsets Lakers’ are imprinted on the shoe in representation of the infamous 1986 NBA Western Conference Finals. If you recall, Rockets center Ralph Sampson hit the game-winning jumper at the buzzer to send the Rockets to the 1986 NBA Finals. The final score of that game, 114-112, is visible in red letters on the side panels.

I’m a Rockets fan for life and Olajuwon is one of my fav. players. However, these are a joke. What’s the deal with putting brown suede on these? I’d only cop for collection purposes.
