Chris Paul is my favorite player right now, and it was good to see an athlete expressing his political opinion one way or the other. While I am not impressed with the many colorways of the Air Jordan 6 Rings, it is nothing like the ‘Carolina Blue’ on any sneaker.

    i gotta admit the heavens gate colorway for the nike dunks are hot, but i watched a documentary about that cult and wonder, HOW IN THE F#$^ DOES NIKE BE “INSPIRED” TO MAKE A PAIR ON THAT HIDEOUS CULT!? If they were “inspired” to make a pair, why not on Obama winning the election? I dont get nike at all, im sure most people making comments around here have better and creative minds for a colorway on the dunks, seriously.

    You guys are smoking crack. Nike didnt inspire them to be Heaven Gate, a bunch of you hypebeast label them that name. Like a board of nike employees decided one day to “hey I got a great idea for a colorway, a cult, like Heaven Gate!” Seriously, someone saw the colorway and be like it remind me of Heaven Gate cuz of this and that, and all you hypebeast go yeah those r Heaven Gate! Be serious

    nike doesnt have anything to do with the name given to the shoe by the sneaker culture. if they did, it would say
    “nike dunk high- heavens gate”
    but does any sneaker say that?
    no.
    dont blame nike for making one of the hottese Sb drops of this year and just let the name given to it by someoneelse mess that up.

    I’m honestly sick of hearing about Obama winning the election. I went and listened to one of his speeches and he completely lost me. We elected a president with no military background and hardly any political background. Half of his political career was running for a presidency he wasn’t even qualified to win. Noone even knew who Obama was until it came time for election.

    1st let me say this to P3. U’re not very intelligent. U’re gonna get mad at a sneaker website for posting up pictures of some of the NBA’s most prominent athlete’s wearing sneakers with the presidential candidate they voted for on their gameday shoes?! It’s a SNEAKER WEBSITE, YOU WOULDN’T BE ON HERE IF IT WEREN’T FOR THE SNEAKERS!!!!! That makes you a moron. U may as well get mad at the NBA for allowing players to do that. This is a democracy OBama won fair and square which is less than what George W. Bush can say from his last 2 elections. 2nd off people have been paying attention to Mr. Barack Hussein Obama since the 2004 DNC when he opened of for Senator Kerry. People were amazed by his striking rhetoric and Kennedy-esque charisma. Back to the sneakers, the heaven’s gate concept was something that was leaked to the press by one of the members of the Nike Skate Team last year in a drunken interview. Do your research and find it online. Many of the colorways are inspired by events in pop culture that add a 3rd dimension to an otherwise boring sneaker. IF nike was smart, they would have had a PR strategy to quelch the interview and name the colorway after something else: the ninja turtles footsoldiers for instance wore black and purple in the video game. They could have said it was a tribute the nike boxes they used in from 2004 to 2006 for SB sneakers….However, nike may have scrapped them for other reasons as well, but for now, yes we will have to do without this colorway. Now go be a good internet geek and read something of significance. Like why Obama is one the most highly endorsed professional presidents of all time.
