Converse has found gold while digging in the vault for throwbacks, gold and purple weapons that is. The Converse Weapon High will return in the original “Choose Your Weapon” colorways in spring of 2009.

The Weapon is one of the most recognizable basketball shoes in Converse history, due to the marketing campaign from the 80′s featuring the Bird vs Magic. The black and white, and purple, gold, and white colorways specifically, will take the basketball and sneakerhead OG’s back to those Celtics vs. Lakers days of old. After last years NBA finals, it’s a perfect fit to have these release in spring of next year, possibly just in time for another Laker/Celtics finals.
