Nike Blazer High George ‘Iceman’ Gervin

Nike Blazer High George Iceman GervinWe all remember the ‘Iceman’ and the finger rolls after finger rolls while playing for the San Antonio Spurs. In memory of his career, Nike has solidified a limited edition Blazer for George Gervin.

The limited edition George “Iceman” Gervin Blazer Hi will be arriving at House of Hoops (HOH) very soon! Inspired by the San Antonio Spurs colorway, these kicks feature a neutral grey upper with white accents on the swoosh and shoelaces. The word ‘ICE’ is visible on the heel in white as well. Imprinted on the side of the sneaker is a silhouette of a basketball player bouncing two balls (pause).

What’s with Nike paying homage to the superstars from the past through Blazers lately? Come on Nike! It’s the ‘Iceman’! Give him an Air Force One or a Jordan PE!

These sneakers should be on sale at HOH next Saturday, October 18th. View pictures of this sneaker after the jump provided by Footlocker Unlocked.

I believe the reason why Nike is doing a tribute through a Blazer and not an AF1 or Jordan PE is because that is the shoe George Gervin is famous for wearing…

These are aight, pretty average shoe but the man behind them definitely isn’t. Wish they gave him a better shoe than a blazer.. I just copped some J Vs at http://www.4thekicks.com/?page_id=28 . Now that’s what I call a tribute!

the biggest misconception is that it’s plain grey. IT’S NOT !!! These are metallic silver and if u catch it in the right lite they reflect, so all haters need to go back to school …and I copped these too!!! Ha ha ha – I luv livin in la
