Goadome + Foamposite = Nike Air Foamdome

Nike Air FoamdomeMaybe a bit of a coincidence to followup our feature about hybrids, but I think there was a bit destiny!

Nike launched a large scale marketing and product development project last winter centered around the boot market. Across the east coast many hang up their kicks for something designed to handle the harsher, outside elements of winter, but Nike was not ready to let everyone switch away from the swoosh for the season.

This winter, the Nike Air Max Goadome will release again in its usual form, but complimenting the staple Nike boot is a hybrid with the Air Foamposite creating the Nike Air Foamdome. Penny fans have had it good for the past two years with the return of the Foamposite in a number of colors, the Penny II, and Penny III on the horizon, but this may be a too much for some purists.

Maybe not for everyone (Texas winters never have boots in the forecast except ostrich skin at the steakhouse), this boot definitely speaks to saying that with Nike, “expect the unexpected.” We have heard that these will be in stores starting in late November/early December for $225, but Dave Jeff of PHLI in Chicago was treated to a pair ahead of everyone else. Is this taking things too far?

    That LRG ‘crypt walk’ vest isn’t nearly as fresh as the OG North Face Nuptse vest…that vest in blue/black was practically made for the foams.

    If u From the DMV u already know that you will prolly have a pair by november lol… nike boots really aint that popular round the states tho for sum reason… but when it gets cold up here in the VA/D.C area, the boots come out…

    @NIKEINDABUTT YEAh you rite but then I saw a ROCKSMITH HOoDY that would kill it too trust imma make these bad boys stand out like the statue of liberty maybe take back with an old school magic hoodie or starter jacket lol =)

    Its not really taking things to far, you get what you like. Its 08 and getting ready to be 09, its time for something different. Shoe brands need to come up with something real fresh and fire, and stop releasing these plain retros. I mean don’t get me wrong, retros are great, especially when a shoe brand releases a retro that you didn’t able to get, but in time, its time for a change and go in another direction. These brands, especially Jordan Brand, need to stop making these hybrid shoes and come up with something real different and fresh. You know people go crazy over retros, Jordan Brand need to come up with SOMETHING DIFFERENT BUT WITH THE SAME REACTION.

    Not feeling these at all Nike took it to far and 225.00 hell no!! I will pass I love the foamposites, and I especially love the goadomes but together I dont think so.

    Keep it 100 yall dont even need these in the winter in cities like L.A, Houston, and Miami (so don’t trip if yall can’t find dem) , but ’round here in places like Upstate NY, NYC, Toronto these will save ya life when winter hits real hard.

    P.S. ACG’s ova Timbelands any day of da year.

    Wow…these are wack. And for $225, what can I say? Personally, if I lived in a cold-weather state (which I don’t btw), I’m better off geeting some Lugz on sale for under $100. And on top of that for a MUCH better-looking boot. Woe to the sneaker heads, Nike yet again killing yet another classic softly…

    True Goadome heads wouldn’t even ask questions, just break bread like I did. These aren’t for penny-pinching pretty boys. More exclusivity for those in the know. If you been wearing premium nike boots since the turn of the millenium, these are just the natural progression. Slightly heavier than standard Domes, but slightly more comfortable. All my Atlanta Dome heads know what it is.
    P.S. Nike: Where are the nubuck all black and/ or all gray Goadomes? Long overdue.

    I think they are nice and they are comfortable too. I have a black pair and thinking of getting the brown ones.Alot of people said they didn’t like when they saw a picture,but once they seen them on my feet they change their outlook on the boots.

    yaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnnn…oh for real. I live in VA, so of course I got them black ACGs…I also got about five pairs of AM90 boots chillin in boxes that are about to go to the Salvation Army today. I saw a pic of Wale holding a pair at a show and they looked alright, but those blue ones are sucky (retro word courtesy of Chuck Inglish/Cool Kids). Nike, you need to chill buddy. And u d@mn right I’m late on this posting (late comment but saw these when they were first posted).

    shid ill pay $300 for them, if they come out in red hey ill pay $400 if i had to, ive seen a boot similar to this one about ten years ago on Final Fantasy Tactics and thought to myself this would be the only shoe i would ever have to buy, perfect shoe for me.

    i got these last week and i wore them a couple days later then both of the sides ripprd i dont kno how the hell it happened. i was walking then it ripped i gave it back to footlocker and just copped those ken griffeys and still had some money left over so i also copped those half cents pennys !
