Nike Air Blue Chip Kevin Durant PE – Peter Sim
Other than the Hyperdunks and McFlys, there hasn’t been a Nike Basketball release that really caught my eye until I saw Kevin Durant’s Nike Air Blue Chip PEs. I can’t really say much about the performance quality of the shoe, but the Oklahoma City colorway on the white upper is, as we say down in Texas, “draped up and dripped out” – the orange that wraps around the toe along with the carolina blue both make the shoe pop and shine under the arena lights. Add other clean details like the “35″ embroidery on the inner ankle, textured leather on the Swoosh, and orange/blue piping on the back and you got a well-executed shoe. Also, I know its old news, but props to Nike for hooking Durant up with the clean logo treatment. We’ll have to see what the away colorway will look like, but I assume that it will probably look equally as bonkers.
