 Could Supra be a new staple in Hip Hop fashion? Well, if not hip hop, Lil Wayne seems to have a fetish for them. Over the past year, Supra have caught the eye of many rappers (Kanye, Pharrell, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne…just to name a few). Just recently, during the VMA Awards, Lil Wayne sported three different sets of these incomparable sneakers throughout the show. Wayne switched his shoes like a basketball player at halftime (a la Kobe Bryant during the Beijing Olympics) not once…but three times during the show. The self-proclaimed best rapper alive performed in the skate-ready Black Supra TUF Skytops, then changing into an exclusive Vaider to accept his Best Hip Hop Video Award for Lollipop. The Supra Vaiders were initially made for FallOut Boy member Pete Wentz for his 29th birthday. There are only 29 pairs in existence. He ended the night onstage with Kid Rock (yes…Kid Rock) in some red patent leather NS Skytops.
