LA Gear x Kid Fireball Sneakers

Sneakers returning to the marketplace from the 80s is nothing new, but brands returning from the grave is a bit of a new trend. Recently we have heard of a bring back of Troop, British Knights, and even Ewing (update me please Mr. Matt George). You can now add LA Gear to that ever growing list.

LA Gear tried returning to the scene earlier this decade pulling full page ads with their basketball-prodigy rookie Luke Walton (sarcasm), but to no avail. This time around LA Gear has teamed up with Patta to put the right foot forward for this attempt at a return. Sticking to what works, LA Gear returns with the “Kid Fireball” that ads some new touches to a shoe one would expect to have seen come from LA Gear two decades ago. Patta will be hosting an event along with LA Gear on September 12th with the shoes going on sale the following day.     Ha the crazy thing is I’m feeling the colors but not feeling the shoe overall. Pretty bad shoe imho.

    Are these for women? I know a lot of sneaks are making a comeback but some of these sneaker companies need to stay retired. The luke walton era didn’t work and these won’t either L.A.Gear didn’t sell in their heyday when they had Hakeem the Dream or the Karl the Mailman on their roster.

    They do need to bring back the high top light up LA Gears I’d buy em! ^^^Diadoras did make a come back in VA, back when I was in middle school. It was 7th grade, like seven years ago and girls wear keds all the time. Back to the shoes tho, one reason I want some light up LA gears cus my sis had em when I was lil’ and I allways thout they was sweet!

    diadora’s were heat and keds has been around for the longest and they aren’t going anywhere

    Color itself is kinda bright to cover the whole upper, but I wouldn’t mind so much if you took away all the little doddles on the upper. The desigh of the shoe is allright, but in the end, this is just not my taste.

    I appreciate that they’re trying to stay true to their original style, but sometimes alterations are necesary. That’s just me though, someone else out their might like those little doodles.

    this 80′s gear is out of hand….whats LA gear gonna do when the trend for 80′ stuff is GONE……people need to move forward..get up out the past…i know most people look at the past for inspiration…thats cool. but build from.. build something new..if you still got like that. … im saying.
