Michael Beasley and Eric Gordon sign with Adidas

Adidas seems to be forming a nice NBA lineup this year. Recently, the Chicago Bulls newest acquisition Derrick Rose signed a sneaker contract with Adidas. Two months later, Miami Heat’s forward Michael Beasley and Los Angeles Clipper’s guard Eric Gordon follow in his footsteps. With Adidas having three of the top ten NBA draft picks this year, look for ‘three stripes’ to take off.

The Beasley signing comes as a surprise considering many times this past season he was seen destroying Big XII competition in the Jordan Aqua 8′s. On the contrary, Gordon’s signing seems fitting considering he sported Adidas this past year while attending an Adidas-sponsored school (Indiana University). It should be interesting to see which player gets the best looking sneaker. Any preseason guesses?

Adidas also plays a huge roll in sponsoring AAU basketball in Indiana.
Eric Gordons old AAU team (Indiana Elite) had mostly everything paid for by Adidas- jerseys, shoes, trips… etc.

I don’t take much from it now. Kobe had the ugliest Adidas ever when he signed lol! Those big blocky POS were horrible. With that being said, if the shoe looks cool…fine. But if its ugly, they can turn their sneaker image around.

Damn, I was hoping Beas was going to sign with Nike/Jordan, I think that kid is going to do big things, I like his game a lot, and he’s obviously a sneaker-head which is cool.

ITS A TIE—THEY ALL LOSE!!! ADDIDAS has Kevin Garnet, Dwight Howard….and how many commercial air time they got this year? KG won NBA Title, and Dwight Slam Dunk…They got no press love from ADDIDAS! I would have signed with NIKE just because even I got to share a commercial with AMARE, SHAWN MARION, and some unknown other dudes – At least Im getting AIR TIME IN PRIME TIME!! adidas didn’t throw big money … it was just that none of the shoe companies saw any potential to throw big money at this years draft. plus the shoe companies aren’t really throwing money at players like they really do anymore… look at Kobe (he didn’t get 1 commercial). but i completely agree those 3 will be in a graveyard for a while before their deal is up. not to mention nobody & i mean nobody talks about rocking adidas (accept the classics shell toe) at least kids want Wade’s shoe Converse & that’s still owned by Nike. Poor KG, Billups, J. Smith, Arenas, T-Mac (that’s the only 1 that sells to my knowledge but i don’t know about now) & Howard doesn’t even have his own shoe & he’s one of the faces of the league.

Beasley has no loyalty, LOL. Wearing all Nike (Jordan, LeBron – DO YOU SEE THAT COLLECTION? Must have cost a pretty penny, but why would he care because HE’S FUTURE ALL-STAR MATERIAL), but he signs with Adidas. Oh well, 3 stripes are making BIG moves. Derrick Rose and Michael Beasley will be in my some of my favorite players behind Lebron and Melo so it highly disappoints me that they signed a deal with lame ass Addias. They could have easily accepted less money now and then renegotiated his contract like D. Wade did seeing as how they are both going to become all-stars. Plus with Chicago has a huge shoe market and Rose is from the Chi.
