The end of this calendar year has plenty of great sneakers in line from Nike, but looking forward to 2009 has some long awaited returns as well. One of the most anticipated re-releases is the Nike Air Max BW in the Black/Persian Violet colorway that has not been seen in several years.

Some of you may remember the shoe lending inspiration to the Court Force earlier this year, but nothing beats the real deal. Photo thanks to r2b2 at CrookedTongues.

Yeah BW is a good shoe still got mine got copped them at a nike outlet store in texas bout 4 years ago for like $89.00 gotta get a new pair 09 is a year for some classic nikes huh!

I remember when these release at finishline in 03 and made it alllll the way to the clearance shelf for $39. The only thing that sucked is that these cracked so quickly. Classic colorway.

i still have my OG joints from 03 that i copped at Finishline for $40 bucks. i might get another pair, but knowing how people are on this “hype” crap, i doubt they will be able to get them for the sale price like i did 5 years ago. damn i hate hypebeast…..

yeah ronluv, my joints started cracking round the purple part in the middle of the sole. the same as the AM90′s that were dropping in 05-06 like the Nashes and the Hufs. those also cracked like crazy after about 2-3 wears IF that many.

Good thing I copped two pairs but the cracking is shoddy at best. After a dozen wears you’d be forgiven for thinking they were OG’s with the creasing and chipping on the sole.
