Sneaks Up Official Wrap Up

Sneaks Up San Antonio 2 Official Re CapSunday, to some, is the day of rest, but few sneakerheads in the San Antonio day were relaxing at home last Sunday. Sneaks Up San Antonio put on their second annual show in the Alamo City that saw a tremendous turn out from people all across the Lone Star State.

The focus of the show is that of culture building. Creating an opportunity for heads from around the city and across the state to meet up, show off their favorite kicks, and talk sneakers like true obsessed heads do. In addition to the sneakers were several displays of sneaker related artwork, customized shoes, and up start clothing brands.

Sneaks Up uses their show to help give back to their local community as well. A silent auction of Spurs PEs was held to benefit the Spurs Foundation in the tune of over $3,000 as well as more than 50 pairs of sneakers were collected and donated to Boysville of Texas – a non-profit foundation that provides emergency long-term care for at risk children.

the show wasn’t that spectacular, htown’s shows kill it, and jus a fyi, team deadstock’s table sucked, all they had was stuff released in the past yr or so..i guess they just got into this game huh? bandwagon jumpers….ps. the event id’s suck, i’m sorry but they look like a purple mess.

  • ucasta

^^^You have got to be the first person ever to say something negative about our event. And how come everything has to be so competitive, h town def has dope shows, but to compare the two?! come on…its all about showing love to sneakers, not some wack sneaker battle. if you came this time, you, your simple mindedness and your negativity can just stay at home next time.

i didn’t even know we had a sneaker culture here in SA.

i thought it was just me and a friend at work lol. sometimes it’s not even worth wearing your stuff cause there’s no one around who would care.

not like i have any heat!

  • T21D

The San Antonio Family PURPOSELY wanted to differentiate ourselves from Houston. WE DON’T WANT TO BE HOUSTON!

As far as the cleats being weak, you missed the point and it just flew over your head.

Ray Allen PE’s are NOT the same tirds that were being sold @ the HOH(if you even know where the HOH is at).

Thanks Matt for coming over and covering our show. You missed the pre-party.

  • namedropper

You don’t buy/wear shoes so you can have guys jump on your dick.

and Houston winter summit wasn’t all that great either.

$10 cover , $5 raffle , fake shoes , fake supreme fitted/tees/etc. Not to mention every table there had the same thing. Jordan III cement / hyped up SBs.

smh at those who only have critical things to say about a FREE event that was a culture building event that gave back to the community in a BIG way.

This was a family friendly event that was done to connect heads in a positive way to do positive things for the community.

I can tell that some of us have a lot of learning and/or growing up to do.
