Lebron James Nets 50 in Yankee Lebron V

Lebron James laced up in the Yankee Edition Zoom Lebron  V’s when he took the court against the New York Knicks at the Garden.  This special make up was released earlier in the day at the Harlem House of Hoops limited to only 130 pairs.

Lebron dominated the game all night long with highlights that include a 35 foot halftime buzzer beater, matched career high of seven tre’s, and a total of 50 points – his fifth 50 point game.  In Babe Ruth fashion, Lebron called his shot of hitting 50 points to Spike Lee and delivered.

The Yankee Edition Nike Zoom Lebron V was sure to be a classic, but James made the shoes even more special with his performance in those shoes at the Garden Wednesday night.

Like Mike said, “…it’s not about the shoes, it’s about what you do in them.”

We have witnessed.

    That was a crazy game by Lebron. I agree that his performance will make these shoes more special. Great tie in with Babe Ruth too. Such imagery with those Yankee Lebrons haha.

    I don’t want to sound like a d!ckrider, but seriously what makes nicekicks.com so much better than other sites like sneakerfiles, kixandthecity, or kicksaholic is the quality of writing. I know that some of you kids don’t care to read (“1st!!!! yo them customs are copped when they drop!”), but this site puts a lot more into every post than just photos.

    Thanks for the kind words but the three sites you listed there are good sites run by good dudes too.

    It was like Lebron was wanting to respond to all of the talk of Kobe deserving the MVP after he put up 52 against the Mavs. Now I know that the Mavs are a tougher team than the Knicks, but this MVP race is really going to come down to the wire.

    I didn’t buy the xx3 or the package to get these but I was expecting it to be like the China V……….maybe cop a pair on ebay for $240 but I can’t find any.

    You’re from Australia right? Our dollar is so pathetic that rape prices almost convert to something decent lol.

    Of all special edition Lebrons, I think that these will be a hot item to grab for quite a while because of his performance in the shoes. Before the game, people were reselling them in NYC for $400-$500, now I think one is pretty lucky to get them for $750-$800. Only time will tell…

    Somebody mention something about the retro Jordan 1s that are suppose to be released in December 2008 but JB wanted to add a strap.
    They also have those baseball 1s but I thought that the only way to get retro was through the packages.

    Callumx…you wear a size 12 right? Check the thread that I made on SP………somebody has a size 12 that they are trying to sell. I think he wanted around $500.

    O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D ….. Lebron, not the shoes. So he finally had a good shooting night. And C’mon…..it was against the Knicks. He’s still jacking up 30+ shots to get 50. Kobe only needs 20-25, if that. Kobe hit, what, like 17 free throws in a row at the END of the game. What Lebron did in NY is NOTHING what Kobe did to Dallas. Lebron is a distant second to Kobe and I bet that Lebron cant wait to have Kobe out of the league so he can be “the man” in the NBA, which he so desperately wants.

    Also, if Lebron “truly” cared about his team and not scoring…..why utter “50″ to Spike anyway in the 3rd quarter? That just proves my point even more. Kobe dont care at his MATURE point in his career if he scores 10, as long as they win……which I dont thing Lebron clearly has in his sights.

    Lastly, Lebron wants to be like EVERYONE else. He does that “throw the powder in the air” pre-game routine like KG. He sticks his tongue out on drives like MJ. I just wished Lebron would just play and shut the f#@# up! You know….like how Kobe does.

    And no, I’m not a big Kobe fan, nor Lebron fan. More like Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Chris Bosh, Tracy McGrady, Dirk Nowitzki fan ….. those are guys who play, let their game speak for themselves, and shut their mouths in the process–before, during, and after games.

    Stop jocking guys just because they take all the shots for their teams! Kobe and CP3 are the true MVPs.

    So far this is the only colorway of this year lebrons that i would try to scoop up. That was one of the great performances in the Garden but it was against the Knicks. No doubt this year MVP is a 2 MAN RACE! KOBE OR LEBRON.

    ^^ To prove my point further, Lebron scored 39 pts tonight…..BUT was benched with 4+ min in the game…..why? BLOWOUT game by Chicago….Chicago! Lebron had ONE lonely assist, too. So we do “really” think Lebron is about his team with the passing basketball around mentality or about padding his numbers?

    Face facts, Lebron is no MVP regardless if he’s wearing those fresh kicks or not!
