Designed by Her Majesty Secret Studioâ€™s Sean Dâ€™Anconia, the New Balance 574 â€œAVE NJâ€ pays homage to 70â€™s Grindhouse Cinema through a hard-hitting collage of the eraâ€™s slickest iconography.

From the streets of Harlem to the skyscrapers of Hong Kong, Dâ€™Anconiaâ€™s fusion of 70â€™s funk, yakuza and kung-fu imagery brings his unique pop-fusion universe to life in this limited-edition New Balance Creation.

These are available at select New Balance retailers now for $100. Truly a different sneaker from the norm, but definitely alot of detail went into these shoes.

I got a pair of these (I couldn’t stop myself) and they are truly friggin badass. And the guy’s afro is velvety, which provides hours of entertainment all on its own… The only word to describe them would be “ridiculawesome.”

I found these at Ross for $24.99 a pair in Chattanooga, TN. All they had were sizes 15 2E and 16. Think about hitting up the discount retailers if you want to find these for a deal.

Actually, it is a Japanese man with an Afro. Not so stupid and often quite common in Tokyo these days. Nice to see that my work is loved or hated. That’s always good. Indifference is the enemy.
